Why Email Marketing and an Opt in List is Important
During this day in time, email marketing is a must to implement into your website. This is extremely important so you can capture your visitor's name and email address that might be interested in your products or services. When you capture the visitor's email address and name this is considered them actually stepping into your business building and taking a look around your business, and then leaving your business with a purchase of a service or product. Still considering, while at the same time you now know they are at still interested in returning to you (your business).
There's no way around email marketing without an opt in list, without one you simply can't capture the name and email address. So basically, no opt in list, no name and email. No name and email address, no potential returning customer to your website.

Now this is marketing, important thing is to actually market to your opt in list. Here is my 3 important steps to use while marketing to your opt in list.
1. Above the Fold: Means you place your opt in list on your website above the fold. What does above the fold mean? When first arriving to your website, what you see is called above the fold. You don't have to scroll down to find the opt in list, its right there on the right hand side. This is extremely important, you want to catch the attention of your visitors before they leave your page or have to scroll down to find the opt in list.
2. Call to Action: To get your visitors to entre their email and name there has to be a reason why they should want to give you their name and email address. Offer something for free. A report, informartin, product, research studies or maybe an ebook. Your headline needs to be a call to action example: Receive my FREE eBook report about How To Train Your Dog. Value is the key importance here. Give your visitors a good reason why they need to enter their email and name, a good reason would be giving them something for free. Free valuable content or a ebook.
3. The Actual Emails: Ok, they entered their name and email address.. They are a customer of yours for life now. Now the method to sending them the correct emails is also very important. You want them to now return to your website, you want them to purchase a product again. In order for this to be successful, you don't want to run them off by spamming their email inbox with five emails a day. Structure your email sending to be every few days. Don't send them all at once.
The overall idea is to take care of your email opt ins and they will take care of you. This is very similar to customer service at your store or office. You begin to treat your customers and clients well when they are in your store and they will remember that and return to your store to buy again from you in the near future.
So, always be good to your email list and remember to give them free quality content and services. They will in return respect that, by going out and networking for you by telling their friends and family about how well you treat them. This equals, you start to receive more customers, more sales, and more profits for your business. That right there makes a business owner very happy.
